Great Lumley: Mediterranean Gull showing really well at 9:15 and again at 2:15 when I returned.
CLS: Nuthatch, 7 Goosander, 40c Canada Geese, 1 Pochard, 3 Wigeon, Goldcrest, Long-tailed Tit, 3c Dipper.
Hton Gate: 1 Buzzard but no water at all visible at present.
Castle Dene: 1 Snipe, 2 Redshank, 1 Dipper, 3 Wren.

Walk along the River Wear from Lambton Bridge to Riverside, Chester-le-St;
Highlights - 3 Little Grebe, 3 Wigeon (2m1f), 2 female Goldeneye, drake Pochard, 13 Goosander, 1 Snipe, 2 Redshank, Dipper (singing);
No sign of the female Mandarin today.

Elma - 15 Brambling feeding on Rape at new plantation. (The Finch)

2 Sparrowhawk,Kestrel,2 Grey Heron,Woodcock,54 G B B Gull,500 Herring Gull,200 B H Gull,2 Siskin,15 Teal,3 Redshank,5 Snipe,8 Grey Partridge,Kingfisher,3 Bullfinch,G S Woodpecker,2 Greylag and Canada Goose.
Birds seen from the kitchen window this afternoon.
10 Blackbird,16 Collared Dove,10 Blue Tit,12 Siskin,6 Chaffinch,2 Great Tit,3 Fieldfare,6 Goldfinch,3 Bullfinch,Reed Bunting,4 Sparrowhawk,Kestrel,Lapwing,Grey Wagtail and Snipe.
